Title: Repeated headers in sectioned lists
Post by: SynexusStuart on 14 Oct 2010 04:00:14 AM
Hi,

I have a list which is sectioned.

The original list had column titles which now repeat for every section, can I make it so that the coulmn headers only appear at the top of the first section instead of every one?

Can you do away with the sections and just use the standard list headers and footers? You will have a greater degree of control trying to achieve what you want using this method.

I think you can trick Cognos into something like that by using a dummy-row for the first section (use a union) and then use conditional styling to either show/not show the header by using a foreground/background white color.
All white will have the result of not displaying the header (we use this sometimes to dynamically display column indexes for commentary lines)

Thanks both, I will persevere with it as it is and see if I can get away with it.

If not I will try these solutions.

Cheers
