Here's what I've heard:

1)  no major changes to V8.4.1 functionality, V10.1 will incorporate the patches and hotfixes as one deliverable.

2)  integration with SPSS software.

3)  the latest COGNOS 8 BI suite is V8.4.1, moving to V10.1 to align all IBM COGNOS software versions at TEN moving forward.

There are some great innovations in Cognos 10, but I'm not allowed to detail or discuss what they are until after 25th October when the product is officially launched...
