we have been introduced to this issue:
When user tried to run the report form cognos connection, it goes back again to list of report instead of running report.
please share if any of you have some ways out.

How did they try to run the report - by clicking on the report name, or by using the 'run with options' button? If the latter, did they select the option to save the report? (or print, or email?) If so, then they will end up straight back in Cognos Connection as the report runs and saves (/prints/emails) in the background.

Is it just one particular report or all reports? If just one, then look at that report's properties compared to the report properties of ones that run properly. Is it every user running that report or just one user? If only one user, then look at what is different for that user vs. others.
The default behavior in cognos connection, once there is a saved output, is to view the saved output. Here's a really long shot -- is there a saved output in Excel and the user has some popup blocking going on? Can the user run the report the second way that MFGF describes (using the run with options) but with the run now option?
