Title: Cube Percentages off by 2-3%
Post by: kado on 01 Oct 2010 04:47:29 PM
Hello,

I have a pecentage measure in my cube that is based off 2 other measures within the Framework Manager model (both also presented as measures in the cube), let's say: Sales/Cost

This calculation is defined in the Semantic layer (2nd layer of a 3 layer FM model) and has a Data Type of 'Float64' and Size of '8'. Regular and Semi-Aggregates are both 'Sum'.

Within Transformer this measure is sourced from the package and Formatted as a percent '0%' with 1 decimal and a precision of 2. Whereas the Regular Timing is set to 'After Rollup'.

The cube is partitioned on Quarter and typically results in a deployment file > 10 gigs.

Throughout the various levels of the cube the percentages are typically off by about 2-3% when you go ahead and manually do the calculation based off the 2 measures also presented in the cube.

Any idea what I am doing wrong here or what I could do to dial these percents in???

THANKS,
-kado
