hi
i have a cognos portal created which contains a bunch of reports based of a cube. these reports are all summarized and contains charts based on either institution or fiscal year. our consumer group are faily novice users and altough they can view the data sets for each of these reports they may want to extract the results to opdf or excel. is there a way to have the consumers bring these reports to the various output formats or do they have to go to the specific folders and run the reports as desired.

A very simple but very fast solution is to do this:
Implement a Report Studio Drillthrough-Definition on an element of your choice, e.g. a Textfield with content "Open as pdf". In this Drillthrough-Defnition refer to the same report, but set the format from "default" to "pdf". Same with an other DT-Definition for XLS.
