Title: Data not flowing properly in Contributor
Post by: anandmoholkar on 17 Aug 2010 06:03:14 AM
Hi,
I have D-Links flowing Data from one cube to the other cube. When I check the Data flow in Analyst, the data flow is proper.
Then I had synchonised the Analyst model with Contributor Admin Console and performed GTP.

But the data flow from one cube to the other cube is not happening properly in Contributor Nodes.
The same data flow, when I check in Analyst is proper.

Can anybody please help me out regarding the debug of my problem ?
Is there any way, how data flow can be checked in Contributor Admin Console ?

How do you check the data flow in analyst?

Are the two cubes in the same Application and contained in the same Analyst library?

It's a setting in the dcube - dlink updates or something like that - need to do it in Analyst so it propagates to Contributor

To follow up on my question, you need to run 'update links' in analyst to see how it should behave in Contributor. Only d-links included in the update list of the D-cube will be run.

Sometimes, try and be careful not to look at aggregated data in Contributor as they may hide unintended inconsistencies.. (i.e. look at a minimal level)

Hey,Thanks a lot for reply.
Yes both the Cubes are in the same application.
I have made changes in Update List of the D-Links..
The Data flowing in Analyst from one cube to other is perfect.
But still there is problem in Contributor data flow :(

Is there any way, by which we can check the data flow in Contributoyr ?

I assume you have saved the D-cube and synced the analyst application with Contributor and run GTP after you made the changes to the update list?

I know of no other way than to look at the data and observe how they behave. Especially if you look at non-aggregated levels, you can usually learn a lot..

Yah. I am doing the same way.
I think I will have to create the New Links again and check the behaviour.
