we had a consultanot come in and setup our cognos environment (production only and ver 8.3). i have since upgraded to ver 8.4.1. anyone have any ideas or instruction sets on how to create a duplicate development site. can this be acheieved ina vmware environment.
any docuemntations or ideas would be a help

Your post is rather vague. Our entire Cognos environment (Dev, test and prod) is on vmware.
What configuration is your production environment? What are your needs for a Dev environment?
I doubt you completely need to duplicate it in a Dev environment apart from type (OS, cognos version, application server and such).
Update your post with more information, and people will reply.
And of course you can use vmware. Cognos does not care. It is exactly the same as far as it is concerned.
