Title: Transfer zero's (blanks) with a d-link
Post by: raabjerg on 23 Jul 2010 04:37:41 AM
Hi,

I am trying to create a d-link that will also transfer blank values along the mapped dimensions, and this seems to be problematic.

I came across this older thread with some advise: http://www.cognoise.com/community/index.php/topic,6766.0.html

However, I was wondering if instead of creating hidden 0-values, if there is some setting on the d-link that will allow me to avoid this step? (this question is ultimately in regards to a Contributor app if that behaves differently)

Kindly,
raabj

Hi
The usual way this is done is to create a "zero" cube with 2 dimensions
I usually have the dlist with zero, one and two and make the calculations 0, 1 and 2
This can then be used to zero anything from whole cubes to individual dlist items
The One or Two element can be used for default values in a yes/no dlist

Hope this helps
David

Thanks, that is a useful suggestion. Think I found another way though. Thanks again!
