Title: [Solved] Cognos 8 - Reports not opening

Hi

I have recently installed Cognos 8 on my laptop along with the sample databases ââ,¬Â¦. and I regulary get the following errors if I run the reports and they wont open ââ,¬Â¦ which is often.

This ones using query studio ââ,¬Â¦

The absolute affinity request 'asynchWait_Request' failed, the requested session does not exist.

  I think that is a timeout error... How long does it take to get that error?  How big of cube/datasource are you using? what are the specs on your laptop?

Mike .... Yes I believe your right .... it is a timeout issue.

My laptop currently only has 512MB RAM and its causing page file usage to go north of 1GB.

Hopefully adding 2GB of RAM to my Dell M60 will fix the problem.
