Title: Analyst Error
Post by: vipul.bahl@gmail.com on 08 Jul 2010 05:22:21 AM
Hi,

I have installed Cognos planning  (both Analyst and Contributor) on a machine.
After installation and configuration, when i try opening analyst i get the following error . click on URL. http://i29.tinypic.com/f093lx.jpg (http://i29.tinypic.com/f093lx.jpg)
However, Contributor seems to be working fine.
Has anybody came across this type of error?

Thanks in advance

Looks like your file system privileges aren't allowing access to the libraries.  Guessing you left the analyst libs in the default location inside program files folder and default permissions don't allow write access.

Extending to what someclown has said ... Move the sample libraries to a location where you can read/write.  As an example, you could create a share on the server and place them there.  Then map the sample libraries in analyst to the new path.
