Hello all,
I have iqd files and feeded to transformer. when i complete the wizard to build the model,tr1008 error. I have added datasource in cognos.ini file.

'testdata=^User ID:^?Password:;LOCAL;OR;ORACLE@%s@testdata/%s@COLSEQ='

still i prompt me for access manager, my access manager is configured in different server than cognos server.

my system is newly installed ..Now I am not able to build new model and existing model also says same error.

Can any one suggest the solution.

configure your new instance with the namespace used in the cognos server

Hi,
You can try 2 things :
- for a new model, open the working model, delete dimensions, measures and data sources. Add your new datasources and then build normally your model. Don't forget to save the model under a new name...
- create a data source and a signon into your Access Manager and allow your user to use it (and the batch user).

If you have already added the database connection information to the COGNOS.INI [Databases] section, you may also want to add to the cs7g.ini.  This file, to be found under the sub-path \CS7Gateways\bin, does not have a [Databases] section by default, but if you add this tag at the end of the file and then add your data base connection information following that tag, it may work for you.  It did for me.
