Title: [Solved] Cognos 8 BI install error on Oracle 10G Rel 2

G'day all

Has anyone on in the forum tried to install Cognos 8 BI content store on Oracle 10G Release 2?

We are getting error messages part way through the process.Ã,  Some tables have been built before it fails.Ã, 

We can't find any reference to the problem in the Cognos support knowledgebase.

Here is an example of the error messages:

   at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:534)
Caused by: java.io.IOException: Failed to send HTTP request or read HTTP response

DPR-CMI-4007 A request to perform an active content manager election failed.null

Sorry rayshawn.  That was two clients ago.  You could try conacting Mohit Sauhta at Northern Trust in Chicago (ntrs.com) and he may remember the details.
