I want to know is there any option like spell in cognos, fo rchecking spelling in report.

Hi,

If you are referring to checking for syntax errors in calculations, filters etc, then there is a validate button (green tick) you can use when defining these (but be aware that the validate button for variable expressions will always return 'no errors' whatever the expression - this "feature" is sorted in Cognos 8 ).

For checking spelling of text items etc, I don't think so.Ã,  Of course there would be the option of copying the report specification to the clipboard from Report Studio, then pasting it into a word processor to do a spellcheck there, but I imagine many of the xml tags would class as misspelled words, so it would be horrible...

You never responded to what you are trying to spell check.

I would suggest the SDK is the only viable option.
