Title: report printing problem
Post by: pali on 01 Feb 2006 05:42:24 AM
hi all
i am a problem in printing of report.
When i run a report it shows only one page but when i am giving it for printing. It produces 2 pages of report.
That means report spans to 2 pages. So there is mismatch in page no. at report footer or i can say in printout on first page there is no page no. and page no 1 on second page of printout.
Help me.
thanks in advance

Pali,

What is the output format of your report? Is it HTML or PDF?

If it is PDF ...you should not see this kind of errors.  But, if it's HTML this can happen depending on the number of rows in a page (Which you can define in the properties of the list).

Please clarify this so that we can move forward.

Thanks,

Steve

I have tried in pdf.In that output it showed correctly.
I don't know why its not correctly displaying the page no. for HTML format.
Can u suggest me no. of rows so that i can get perfect output in HTML format also.

I am not clear how you are printing more than one page using HTML format (Do you print each page at a time?)

The best way to print is the PDF format.  If you use HTML ...typically, if you set the number of rows per page less than 30 it should match the page numbers and print numbers. But again, it depends on the contents of your rows...sometimes 5 rows can fill up a page ...some other time it takes upto 33.

Also, you can default the output format of your report to PDF.

Hope this helps!
