Title: [Closed]Multiple aggreg[ate rules
Post by: mrcool on 15 Jun 2010 12:18:43 AM
Hello All...

I have a query  on aggregate rules. Please Let me know if anyone here faced this before.
I have created a dimensional model and one of the fact is having multiple aggregate rules applied across dimensions.
here is how it is:

Fact A: Measure:XYZ: aggregate rule "Last" on calendar1 , aggregate rule "Last" on calendar2 ..like this I have couple of dimensions.

I have total of 7 different calendars.
In the reports when I am trying to pull the measureXYZ and one of the attribute from calendar1 , the query which cognos is generating(In report studio) is weird.
I am seeing all the dimensions(With out adding to query) in the query which have been defined in aggregate rules of the fact. This is really eating up the performance.
Let me know if you need any further information on this. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Cheers,
Mrcool
