Title: Not able to install -contributor administration

Hi all,

I am not able to install contributor(CAC) of 7.3.
When i do test connection after the CAC installation-
I am getting error like

"[DBNETLIB]Connection open (connect())] SQL Server does not exist or access denied"

Please note a i have allready installed the SQL Server 2008 express edition.
please advise

I am not aware that 7.3 is compatable with SQL 2008 express.

Which version of SQL I shall install -please advise.

I believe you can use SQL Server 2005.

Hi,

After installing SQL Server 2005 developer edition -now contributor administration-has worked.

Note:

when trying to connect to a SQL Server "Express Edition" is necessary to put the instance name of the database, which in case is SQLEXPRESS. In other versions, Standard and Developer this is not necessary.
Then the connection is SERVERNAME\SQLEXPRESS
