Change Cognos catalog Database

Hi,
I am new to cogons. I have a catalog in cognos which points to a database server which is no longer available. I have a new server which has exactally the same database as in the old one. I want to point the existing catalog to new db server. Please let me know how can I do this. I tried to create a new catalog, but this did not help as the existing reports still try to connect to old catalog.
Any urgent response would be much appreciated.

How does Impromptu connect to the database - ODBC or native connection?  If it's ODBC, simply change the ODBC definition to point to the new server.  If it's native, edit the database definition in COGNOS.INI to point to the new server.
