Hello All,
Does anyone have a solution or know why I would not get a log-on screen when I accessing Cognos?

When I type in the address, the Public Folder comes up..no sign-in needed. :-\

Thanks and have a wonderful day All!

If you look in the Cognos Configuration utility at the properties of the Cognos namespace, is the 'Allow Anonymous Access' option set to True or False?

Upon giving the cognos URL, Public Folders is show up but we click on "Log on" link which then opens up the page prompting for credentials.

MFGF

Yes - it sounds like you have Anonymous Access enabled.  Check Cognos Configuration, as I mentioned in the previous post, and you should be able to disable it from there.

Hi MFGF,
Thanks, but I do have 'Anonymous' disabled showing (False).  Do you know what else could be causing the problem?

Even if I log-off, and log back on, it comes back to the Public Folders page with my name without logging in.

The problem began when our the namespace on the Development side, was made to match the namespace on the Production side. If I sign on at any other computer, I have to log-on to Cognos.

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Do you have Single Signon enabled?  If you are not being prompted for credentials and you end up logged back in as yourself, this seems to be the most likely reason.

Cheers!

Hi MF,
Yes we do have single signon enabled.  But, if I go to another computer to access Cognos, the log on screen comes up.

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Hi MF,
You were correct, Single Sign On was the reason I was not being prompted to sign on with my credentials.

Thanks and have a wonderful day!  :D
