Where is the setting what currency symbol is used?

I published a cube, but instead of a € sign I see a $. Now I updated the regional settings of my local machine to Dutch (Netherlands) --> no effect. Updated regional settings of server to Dutch (Netherlands) --> no effect. Restarted Cognos service --> no effect. Adjusted preferences in Cognos --> no effect.

I keep on seeing the $ sign instead of the € sign.

You have to set the "fallback currency" in File "installation_location\configuration\qfs_config.xml" to EUR - that's it.

I did find this one: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/c8bi/v8r4m0/topic/com.ibm.swg.im.cognos.ug_cra.8.4.1.doc/ug_cra_id34834AnalysisStudioShowstheWrongCurrencySymbol.html#AnalysisStudioShowstheWrongCurrencySymbol

But it's referring to another xml file. And I don't really understand where to add the parameter. Next to that I have a lot of ccli18nrescr_xx.xml files and I don't know which one to change.

Today I'll look in the qfs_config.xml file and see if that clears things up. Thanks!

Great it worked! Thanks!

So, the Cognos "solution" didn't work...but yours did :)

(One has to restart the Cognos service after attempting this, but who cares about that? :))
