abt job change

Hi,
Need some advice. I'm having 5.5yrs of exp (3yrs in cognos ... avg skilled resource). I am looking for change and i got an offer from IBM, Bangalore  (good offer). How will it be working in IBM Bangalore? is it a safe job, i mean are they accommodating?
am confused as I'm not sure what the expectations are from me in IBM and whether they'll give me enough time to adjust?
need ur feedback...

Hi,

Assuming you have an interview with IBM, this is one of the questions you should raise with them.  They seem to have a reputuaion for treating their employees well, although of course that is a generalisation, and I have no way of knowing how things operate in Bangalore.  I understand from their published figures that of all the component parts of IBM, Software Group is growing the fastest and generating the biggest profit, and Business Analytics (Cognos Software and SPSS) seems to be very high on the agenda within SWG, so it's quite likely that the job will be secure and rewarding if you perform in line with their expectations.

The other point is, you never know for sure with opportunities like this until you try!
