Report throws errors when there is change in TM1 application cubes.

Hello All,

I am using Cognos 8.4 BI with TM1 9.5 cubes as data source.

When there is a change in TM1 application model, reports built on existing cubes throws an error which is obvious.

The problem is when the model\package is updated I am not able to update the data items(double click change the report expression) which are changed, later if the changed data items is replaced with the new ones still the report throws errors.

I have to create report from scratch.

May be I dont know the process.Can anybody guide me on how to update the data items or the report.

Hi,

Have you added specific members from the TM1 cube to your report?  My guess is that the MUNs are different, which will of course prevent the members from being located after the change.

If this change process is going to continue, drop a query calculation into your report in place of each member, and set the expression of the calculation to be the MUN of the member.  Once the cube is updated, you will then just need to replace the expression of the calculation with the new MUN for the member (you can copy this from the properties sheet for the member).
