Hi All,

I am trying to connect ODBC (Oracle) with TM1 but it throwing an error 'Unable to open connection to database'.

We have 64 bit Windows 2003 Server and 32 bit ODBC drivers.

Thanks,
Naveen

Hi Naveen,

I think you've hit a problem with the Oracle ODBC driver. I guess the 32-bit ODBC Gateway service for TM1 is installed in the directory 'Program Files (x86)'. Oracle has problems with the parenthesis in the path name.
The workaround for this problem is installing the 32-bit TM1 components in an alternative directory which does not contain any parenthesis in the pathname.

Hi,

As you maybe already have read on the IBM TM1 forum I forgot to mention that if you're on TM1 9.4 the ODBC gateway is no longer supported. So if you're on 9.4 you need to use 64-bit drivers. Here is a link to a post on this subject on olapforums, which provides a link to the driver download.
