Cognos on Unix platform

Hello,

I'm working on a test envirement with cognos on unix.
I have done serveral migrations and implementations on Windows but i'm new to the unix platform.

For a possible new job i'm working to get more skills to do this on a unix platform.

My question:
Who has done this before (unix based) and what are the points that are different. (configuration, tweaks)
And what are your experiance of preformance. (multi server)


Specs:
Cognos 8.3 / 8.4
Platform: Sun solaris 9 / 10
webserver: Apache
