Can you delete files in the TEMP directory created during cube builds

First post, so please bear with me.

We have been working on a memory error since yesterday (08/10/2009)
TR0120.  The solution from IBM site was to move the Data Temporary files to a new directory with more space.  We did and it works perfectly.

During the cube build, a file is created in this temp directory (OX1234).  I noticed that a similiar file was created in my new TEMP directory while building a cube and once the cube was complete the file was deleted.

The issue now is that I have 3.2gb in the first TEMP directory just taking up space.  I cannot find any documentation on these temp working files and whether it is ok to delete them.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Yes you can delete them, they are used during the cube build process. Normally they clean themselves up, if something bad happens and the process exits unexpectedly they may get left behind.
