Cube Views disappeared....

A strange thing happened last Friday.  All of the cube views that we've created and saved in the Public Folder disappeared.  Gone.  Poof.  No trace. 

Anyone have any idea why this might have happened?  Do you know of any way to recover them?  I've just heard from an up and coming power user that he also lost a bunch of saved views.

Alignment of the planets, maybe?

Do you have a backup of your Content store database from before the mystical disappearances?  If so, you could restore it to a new database, temporarily switch ReportNet to use the "new" content store, create an export deployment archive, then switch it all back and import the deployment.

Did the disappearances coincide with anything unusual? (db maintenence, rogue user being fired, temporal disturbance or wormhole etc? :-)

Oh the paperwork...the approvals....the explanations....the headaches....

If I had thought about it hard enough at the time I probably should have done a restore at the time.  There wasn't that much lost.  We're still in the early stages of roll out and have relatively few real users.  In fact it will be interesting to see who calls in with missing view problems.

I'm beginning to think that it was CRN flexing it's little gigabytes and letting me know who's really the boss (little does it know its neither of us!).  I suppose it's time for some power groveling to get back in it's good graces.
