[Unsolved] Language Change: Query Studio to Report Studio

Hi out there!

I hope to find someone who uses multiple languages and had the same problem and solved it:

Our primary language is german and we translated our data modell to english, too. When I use Query Studio to start a query and then decide to jump over to Report Studio to make a nice report of it, the project (?) language changes.

This means: When I log in into ReportNet, all things are nice german. When I open Query Studio, everything is german and so far okay. After I click on Report Studio on the upper right corner, the browser opens Report Studio. At first everything here seems fine too. The GUI is still german. But the data modell is now in english (before, in query studio, it was german)!

When I click in the menu on "extras", "show reportspecification" (as I see the items in german I hope this is the correct translation) I can see in the xml structure that the language for the object is en-us.
When I copy this xml structure to the clipboard ("extras", "copy report to clipboard"), edit it by replacing en-us with de-de, and then import it back to report studio ("extras", "open report from clipboard"), then the data modell changes to german and is fine again.

Any ideas? Any solutions? Anyone encounting the same problem?

Have you looked in your personalized settings in Cognos Connection... You can change things there too.. And did you install the German Language pack?

u can even change the language to german in modelconnection. It exactly does what u did by editing the xml
spec.

German Language pack is installed (everything is german, only the model labels are english and that only when I go from query studio to report studio).

Under Cognos Connection Settings I set up to use German for the product and also for the content.

The problem is still there...

Thanks for the tip, it helps to be able to change the language without this xml hacking *g*.


Maybe someone else has an idea how to solve the origin of the problem?
