Reporting from Trees from the GL in Report Studio

Hello my Reportnet geeks,

I am trying to find a solution to reporting on multiple tree structures used in the Financial Journal Ledgers using the nodes. This is to do a Journal Listing kind of report. While using the Powerplay cubes this solution comes easy, I am looking to do this in the Report Studio. What I understand is that I can use the prompts to filter on the reports - but how can I get to filter on the nodes on multiple trees as we do in the Cubes. Thank you for your help.

What I am trying to do is to be able to filter down a tree or a hierarchy. If you can imagine the category level consolidation and filters that we achieve in a cube while designing the same you will understand what I mean. To exemplify let us consider a tree using the Cognos Examples. You have 3 levels of Categories in Product - Product Line, Product Type and Products.
What I want to do in Reportnet is to be able to achieve the grouping as well as consolidation at the level and node that I have selected - whether that be at the Product Line (level 1) or Product Type (level 2) or the lowermost level of categories at Product. This is what we acheive in the Cognos Powerplay Cubes.
I am looking to tying from the above selection made by the user to the transaction table for rolling up the values in Reportnet.
