How to hide list column ?

Hi,

I need to HIDE one column from a list. If i simply CUT the column i no longer see it on my list BUT i loose the functionality
of that column (using topCount function) even if still have it on my query. So it seems that the column needs to be PART of my list so that he functionality (topCount) works correctly.

I know how to hide a conditional block by setting to NO its "VISIBLE" propertie.

But in the case of a column list there is no such propertie ??

I also know how to cheat (make as if it was not really there) by doing the following:
- Unlock the report
- Click on the column title text and disable any BORDERS
- Same thing for the column body text ...

Problem is that when running my report in html format, if i have added another column just to the right of it will create a space
between the last column and the one i am trying to HIDE... Also i will have problems when trying to allign (center) my list correctly.

Thanks in advance for all your help !

Quick check: did you try to add the dataitem involved to the list properties so that is still taken into account?

sanchoniathon

Nope blom0344 .

But i solved my problem by doing the following:
- select the whole list column i whant to hide
- Set to "None" the "Zone type" propertie of the column
- That's it ...

Thanks to all and good day !

Zone Type property??? i have never heard of such a property... could you please explain in detail about it? i selected the list column but couldnt find a zone type property... Do we have to use dimensional or DMR model to even see that property or something???

I think he meant "Box Type".

Sorry i work in french with ReportStudio most of the time ... It says "Type de zone" and i tried to translate that in english as "Zone type"...

Yes in english we see "Box Type".

Good day to all !
