Hello,
although we're migrated to Cognos 8.xx, our company still has some users working with Improptu 7.1. Within some weeks, our DBA starts with the upgrade of the databases to Oracle 10g. Do I have to expext any problems, when I try to connect Improptu 7.1 to Oracle 10g? I'm aware of the fact that I have to upgrade the Oracle client (to 10g) on the Improptu machines, but are there any other issues to expect?
Migrating to 7.4 is not an option, since this is not our policy. Migrating to 8.xx is the way to go for our company, but those users still have Impromptu reports, which are not migrated yet.

I did a search on the Cognos/IBM website, but I couldn't find any info. If someone finds the right documentation over there, please give me the url of the searchquery, so I can learn how to use that awful site.
