Cognos 8 Powerplay 8.4

Hi All, We all looking into Cognos 8.4 Powerplay,

I notice on the download site there are a Client and Server download..


IBM Cognos 8 BI PowerPlay Server 8.4 Windows (521,582,710 bytes)

IBM Cognos 8 BI PowerPlay Client 8.4 Windows (233.492.310 bytes)



Has anyone used this tool yet and is it the same as Powerplay 7.

I thought powerplay8.4 just installed and connected to Cognos 8 Packages..

We have Analyst Studio , which is total pants..and want a simplier version for the users...

Any help/simple expalnation would be good.
