IBM Support KB Search - very bad

Hi,

Since the Cognos KB was moved to IBM, I can't find anything.
Anyone have any searching tips they can share?

I have to agree, since the KB moved it's become shocking. Documents with no formatting, the search ability returns so much stuff that isn't really related to what your after..

Lets given IBM some time to get it sorted but its needs looking at asap.

One of the worst things in this new KB is that it's no longer Cognos specific!

It brings back DB2, RedBrick, etc2 in which I totally have no interest with.

You have to make sure that you qualify the search criteria -- depending on where you are at, you may have to start with Information Management,  or with Business Intelligence and Financial Performance Management in the dropdowns.

One nasty issue: if your first search fails and you hit New Search, sometimes this takes you all the way back out to the top of the KB hierarchy, meaning you get DB2, Redbrick, etc etc.

That said, the KB site still sucks

I agree, the new KB and search functions are no where near as good as before.

In my view - the new IBM site SUCKS!  >:(
I can't find anything anymore.

try this---
Whenever a search results in no results...put the same search term in the "Additional Search Quries" box...and it will work...its looks like a bug with the search engine.
