Display column even when blank

Hi all,

I have been pushing my brain to it's limits and beyond trying to solve this issue for the last 2 days without any luck

Basically, have a cross tab, and a filter on it to display x data.
Problem is that based on that filter, a specific column is not showing because it has 0's in the DB

I have tried the missing values, the override dimension and what not but with no luck,

The thread that was the closest to my problem is http://www.cognoise.com/community/index.php?topic=1850.0 but I am stuck on "option2 " which says to copy Query 1 and keep it the same apart from the measure which should be 0.

What does it mean it has to be 0?

If anyone could help or show me other means of showing this column (there's actually 2) I would really appreciate it.

In the DB, I have verified that it is 0 and not null.
I have also tried a number of CASE statements but I think this is more for missing values showing as blank rather than a complete column missing due to no data (or 0) showing.

Thanks in advance

Just edited to add that this is 8.3 Cognos Reportnet

Hi,

I think try this way,  select the cross tab and in properties pane select the dataformart property in that select type as number and in that give the missing value character set as 0 and null value charater set as 0.

i think it is useful for you.

Hi Prasad,

Could you tell more about the solution please?
I don't understand yet.

I have only 11 month of (fact) data and wants to show a full year (12 month) in a crosstab.

Thanks!
