I just want to see the upgrade compatibility from 8.3 reports to 8.4 reports?

...they are compatible.

8.3 to 8.4 is fully compatible.

Reportnet reports are partially compatible with Cognos 8 , particularly the ones with Master Detail relationship or Query inside another Query.
