Is it possible to read a ReportNet Report data from a Cognos Macro?
If there are any suggestions/documents on the same, please share.

Oh! Forgot to mention that we do not wisgh to use SDK. Is there a second way out?

Still the same answer... Or you must get working with HTTPRequests in which you put all necessary parameters

What do you want to achieve ??
If it scheduling report like you can do with Impromptu and Cognos macro => This is in-built functionnality
if it s emailing reports by running macros again it s in-built.

So can you describe why you need macro with reportnet and why not going to SDK ??

The purpose is to read the Report data from Cognos portal and then compare this data with the powerplay report data (that we have picked up using another macro). This is basically used to automate Validation of reports that we do manually thrice a month.

Have you check the possibility to use the Office connection ??
Reading automatically data into an excel sheet from your 2 sources and then having some excel or vba macros doing the checking .
