Change Location of Deployment Archives

We're in the midst of migrating our Cognos installation from a mixed Unix/Linux environment to a Windows Server environment.  Everything looks good except for one item.  To streamline the deployment of reports and packages from dev/test to production, we want to use a shared network folder for our deployment archive files.  I understand that the Cognos default location for deployment archives is in the installation folder.  However, this would require us to manually move deployment archive files from the dev/test server to the production server each time we do a deployment.  We know where to change the setting of the deployment archive folder location in Cognos Configuration.  The problem is that it appears Cognos is not able to access the network folder we've created and configured.  Is there something we have to set in either Cognos or the network folder to allow Cognos to view the deployment archive files in the folder (other than setting the location in Cognos Configuration)?

Do you have a user set to run the Cognos 8 service?  That user will be what is actually attempting to touch the folder you have created.  You can check security to see if it allows that user access.

My Windows server administrator just figured out that was the issue, and the deployment archive location can now be accessed by Cognos.  Thanks!

No problem.  Glad to hear it's working now.
