How to create folder level security in impromptu catalogs? My administrator assignedÃ,  User class security to me. Can I assign folder level security to my catalog folders? what is folder level security can any body explain to me.

Again it's in the manual.   To have security you will need to have user classes available.

Impromptu allows security to be set down to the individual column in the table.

User Class security is set up and maintained using Access Manager.
If you create user profiles in an Impromptu catalog make sure you have matching user classes in Access Manager.
Once you have created these user profiles and classes you can then assign what parts of the catalog these objects can access.

Its all admin work.if u are having any user under ur category then u can assign him or u will have the permissions to grant folder level security.Folder level security means that a paticular user is not  granted access to a paticular folder in a catalog.we can identify this by a red cirle and a line (no parking board signal).

any further clarifications are welcomed . :)

Please do not use abbreviations when posting messages!  Many people use English as a second language and do not pronounce the alphabet the same way.  To you "ur" sounds like "you are" but to others it sounds like "oorr" (as in the ancient city of Ur.)

We do not want to chase away colleagues from non-English backgrounds. :)
