cognos reportnet installation problem

Hi,

I have installed Cognos Reportnet 1.1 MR1 on O/S windows 2000 Professional, with Oracle 8i as end. After installation I am getting following error whenever i open Framework Manager Or configure settings.

Cogbootstrapservice.exe-entry point not found
The procedure entry point--?? 4118nstring@qaeabvo@pbd@z
could not be located in the dynamic link library CCLcore.dll

I assume your ReportNet server installation is working fine and that you have a problem only with FM.

It appears that the install did not go too well.

Can you try re installaing

No still i have got the same problem after reinstalling frame workmanager also.

describe your landscape a bit more elaborately.

Is reportnet server isntalled on a separate server. is it working fine meaning can you log into the portal and run reports etc.

are you trying to install FM on a separate machine from ReportNet server.

Also did you do a complete uninstall i.e. remove all files and folders, clean up the registry using a tool such as regclean.exe

Hi,

I have reinstalled Cognos Reportnet. Now I dont have problem with Reportnet Startup. It is starting properly. FrameWork Manager is also opening. My problem, i am not able access Cognos Connection that is "http://localhost/crn", it is giving error "page not displayed".

The backend is oracle database. I have changed content store to oracle, in configuration settings. What are other settings i need to change to work cognos connection properly.

Hi All,


I haver created virtual directories in IIS Server. I have checked the Content Store(Oracle 8i), only 45 tables have been created. The Report net Server starting properly. whenever i try to open the Cognos Connection
"http://localhost/crn", its giving dispatcher error.

check on the crnserver.log file. U will find the exact problem.

I have the similar problem, I have configured CRN with default content manager, the service is starting fine and virtual directory also set as per the installation guide. But gives error as "Page cannot be found on the browser"
