Powerplay 7.4 Offline access

I have a weird issue that I can't seem to solve or find any info about.  I have both 7.1 and 7.4 stored on my machine.  I have users upgrading to 7.4 basically as they get new machines, etc. etc.
For system backup purposes, everyone stores their personal files in a drive marked available for offline storage. 

I have a user who copies cubes from our network into his personal drive.  He then creates standard reports and points to those cubes.  When out of the office he PREVIOUSLY (under 7.1) could access those cubes (drive is offline).  However, since upgrading to 7.4, PP just hangs, even if you click prompt for cube.

Any advice?
