Query Subject Definitions

Can anyone help??

One of my users is having an issue editing a query subject definition.  He can do pretty much everything including adding a new query item and amending the definition of other items but when he clicks ok on the query subject definition box FM just hangs and is shown as not responding in the task manager.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

What are the differences between your and the user's installation? Same OS, same service pack level?

We're all running 2000 (yeah I know!)

How about firewall, antivirus, IE settings? Are they pretty much the same? (I feel your pain with 2000)

Darek thanks for your help with this.  As far as I can tell all the settings are pretty much the same (it's a standard build machine).

I can get into FM and do most things except repairing and adding new query subject items where the system just hangs, doesn't respond and finally crashes.

Any other ideas (he says hopefully)??

You could try to run it through CCleaner (freeware) just to make sure that all temp files and cookies are removed, than perform reinstall of FM (just put it on top, but if it fails, remove and than delete the Cognos directory). Let us know if this resolves your issue.
