Good afternoon All,
I'm wondering about security...We're using AD (Active Directory) so that users can signon (with their credentials) to the Cognos Portal.  What I'm wondering about is this, is there a way to set default access for new users so they are denied access to everything at the outset?  For some reason, when new users logon to the Cognos Portal, they are able to see everything, Admin Content and all of the Studios.  I know I have to set privileges for each specific report individually, but is there an easier way to accomplish any of this task ???

Thanks and have a wonderful day :)

It sounds like the you have the everyone group with access to everything.  So when someone authenticates, they are automaticly part of the everyone group, and have access to things they should not.  We removed the everyone group from having any privliges.

Thank you Allen,
You are exactly right!!!  Once I removed the 'Everyone' group from all of the Cognos namespace groups, no one could log in.

Thanks and have a wonderful day! :D
