excel format of report not running

HI All,
I am  developing a report in query studio and trying to run it , it run's very well in html and pdf but when i am trying to run the report in any of the excel formats or csv format, it starts running the report and all of a sudden the window closes.
I checked the  KB#1015618.1 , KB #1014647, and even checked the internet options  and ensure that no popup blockers preventing cognos connection.But nothing is working out.any suggestions will help me a lot.

I had the same issue. This worked for me when I went to tools->Internet Options->Security->Custom Level and made sure that Automatic Prompting for File Downloading is checked.
