Maximum Report Execution Time Limit

Hi Cognos Community,

In our Cognos Production, we have Maximum Report Execution Time Limit set as 14400 seconds (4 Hrs.) for below 2 services

1) Report Service

2) Batch Report Service



But only some reports get cancelled once the time limit exceeds 4 hrs. and some reports keep running for long hours like 10 - 12 hrs. (Actually, these reports have problem as they fetch data from big FACT table from DB).

Now our customer is asking why these reports run for 10-12 hours even though we set Maximum execution time limit for 4hrs in Cognos Admin settings.



We just want to know if there is any other setting we need to set the time limit for example in Report Query or on the DB side?
