Hi All,

I can't use equal condition because when I use the functionality : 'Create custom filter' I have only this choices:
-Specific values
-Comparison (not with equal but just : <, >, <=, >=)

So I need to use Specific values because I need to select more that only one Invoice ID number in the value prompt. I am using DQM package. It's working for CQM Package. It's very urgent.

Thanks,
krishna

Hi,

Where are you seeing these options - when using the prompt wizard?

If so, the best bet is to manually add the filter you require first, using whatever operator and parameter you need, then add the prompt using the same parameter, and finish the wizard before the step that creates a filter.

Cheers,

MF.

Can you explain the issue you're facing?

I'm using the condition Invoice ID <= ?Parameter? in the filter.
 I need to use Specific values because I need to select multiple Invoice ID number in the value prompt. I am using DQM Package. It's not allowing me to select multiple values.

Is multi-select enabled in the properties of the value prompt? If you're using a value prompt, you could set the filter in your report to be [Invoice ID] in (?Parameter?). If you are using a value prompt that permits multiple values to be selected, a <= operator doesn't really make any sense?

I can't modify the filter condition to use IN. My business requirement is to keep it as Invoice ID <= ?parameter1?.

Can you explain how this should work? If you are using a value prompt with multi-select, what should happen if (say) a user selects Invoice IDs 2000 and 10000? What would you expect to be returned? If you are using a <= operator, you would get all invoices with numbers between 1 and 10000, so there would be no point in selecting the 2000 number? The requirement doesn't seem to make sense (at least to me). Am I missing something?

Cheers!
