Hello everyone,

We are using both Cognos 10.2 and 11.2.4. The reports on our old instance are being rewritten to 11. Following a lot of  discussions, it was decided that we'd replace our Powercubes with a DMR datasource, built within FM.

One thing users have complained about is that, when using a DMR DS in a report, and browsing the different dimensions members, there's a limit (50) to the number that can be displayed. You can search for a member but, it's still annoying to them because they're having trouble using the right search criteria to find the members they're looking for.

So, my question is, is there a way to disable that limit, so they can display all members of a specific dimension.

Thanks

MFGF

Hi,

There used to be a package configuration option for each package in the portal - you could change the Default Member Limit and Maximum Member Limit in the package tree. I don't currently have access to a Cognos instance to see if the option is still there, unfortunately. If it is, it will probably be in the menu that appears when you click the ellipsis for a package object in the portal.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot MFGF. It's exactly what I was looking for. I checked everywhere in the model but didn't think to look in the package's properties in the web interface. Much appreciated!
