We developed a report which uses database Stored Procedure, date parameter is passed to the SP thru Date prompt from the report, User can select any date from the date prompt, If the user selects the date which is present in the database, The report is working fine but whenever user selects the date which is not in the database, the report throws the error message UDA-SQL-0114 The cursor supplied to the operation qlOpenResult is inactive. UDA-SQL-0283 Metadata describing T1 does not match results from the database, I want to show a report page with Custom Error message whenver user selects the date which is not in database, also I dont want to use value prompt for this date parameter which will show the dates which are present in database. pls reply ASAP as this is very urgent

If you can get available dates in a query item, you can compare the selected date with the available dates and give error message right on the prompt page.
I saw a post to validate date in ittoolbox somewhere. do a search for that.
