Good morning,

I need advice or help since I'm a bit lost.

I have COGNOS ANALITYCS 11.0.13 installed with reporting packages for MAINFRAME.

I am trying to modify reports or schedule reports with date -1, that is to say that whenever you want to consult a report or it is planned, you consult me the day before.

I managed to plan reports but I can't put the data that is the day before (date minus 1)

Could someone try to help me or guide me to be able to modify that data? they are reporting packages provided by IBM and they are quite interesting.

Hi,

Are you asking about how to filter the data in a report to show results from the day prior to a specific date?

If so, you'll need a detail filter that uses an expression. There is a function in Cognos called _add_days() that allows you to take a date and add or subtract a number of days to/from it.

For example, you might have a date item in your data called [Planning date]

If you wanted to see data where the [Planning date] value is equal to the day before today's date, you would create a filter in the report using an expression like this:

[Planning date] = _add_days(current_date, -1)

In Cognos, you can use 'current_date' in your expression to return the current date - ie today. The expression above adds -1 days to it, which returns the date from yesterday. The filter then chooses rows whose [Planning date] is equal to that.

Is this what you require, or did I misunderstand?

Cheers!

Good morning,

In other words, in cognos for Mainframe there are already some reports created in which you select intervals, the environment from which you want to get the data and execute submit and it creates said report for you.

What we want is to schedule that same report but instead of running it every day at 8 in the morning, that is to say tomorrow (in the future) we want it to run every day at 8 but collecting the data from the previous day and that report that they will send us to the mail will be data collected from yesterday.

The problem is that I don't know where to find those options that it tells me or how to modify them.

I attached a screenshot of where I am.
