Copy and paste prompt page from one report to another

Is it not possible to right-click and choose copy on a prompt page in one report and then open another report for editing and paste that prompt page? I have several users who have text files of various things including prompt pages that were saved as XML. They use these XML files to re-use common things on many reports they create. They used to be able to do this in IE on Cognos 10 but now we are moving to Cognos Analytics 11 and they can't do this in Chrome, Edge, etc.

Correct.  Internet Explorer has always been a known security flaw.  It allows behaviors that should not be allowed.  Moving Cognos to Chrome/Edge means losing some functionality because the devs don't have security flaws to exploit.

Cognos will allow you to copy from one report to another within the same Cognos session in the browser.  Create a report (or a bunch of reports) that contain the reusable items you need.  Open the source report and the new report in the same session, copy from the source, use the switcher to switch to the target, then paste.
