Hello,

Checking in to see if anyone has seen this issue before.
We are running a powershell script to install cognos analytics 11.0.13 version, and the install script does not install the folders - ibm\cognos\analytics\configuration\data\flipper\global\config folder. It throws an error stating that the flipper directory could not be installed.
When we run a vaniall install using the cognos.exe file, it creates this directory. Its just that the PS script does not.

We have test run multiple installs, and see the same error. The account being used is a domain local admin. So all permissions seems fine. Antivirus scans were also disabled. So, not sure what is causing this directory to not be created.

Cognos services run successfully thereafter. The logs are also not of much help. All environment tests plus content store test run successfully. When we access Cognos portal, we get another error stating - Installation Information Error. A failure occurred while retrieving the installation environment. Some features may not be available.

Any insight is welcome.

Hi,

This isn't something I've seen or heard of before, but I haven't done any silent installs, so that doesn't really count for much. You've already covered the obvious such as running with admin privileges and disabling the virus checker, so I'd suggest you log a call for this issue with IBM support.

Good luck!

MF.
