Greetings! Totally new to Cognos Analytics, working my way through my first report.

I've got a Combination Chart that's showing a value. I've got a parameter for company division (multiselect).

What I Want It To Do: When I select more than one company division, add a new line to the combination chart.

What It Does: Sums the values of the company divisions.

Please help?

Hi,

What data items are you currently using for the columns and the lines? There is a dropdown just above the drop targets for the fields in the visualization - you can switch between Column and Line. Have you tried using the company division item as the data item that drives the line color chart?

Cheers!

Categories (x-axis): My date dimension
Series (primary axis): My "rate" fact

The data is accurate when I'm only showing one department parameter. But when I have two department parameters checked, it doesn't give me two lines. Thoughts?

Please and thank you.

I'm guessing these are in the Columns dialog of the visualization? What do you have defined in the Lines dialog?

Ah, there are three things. That'll do me. I'm getting errors now, but that's progress. Thank you!
