Hello fellow CA users,

I am getting a rather diffuse error pop up whenever I try to open or create a report "TypeError: Cannot set property 'src' of null". The report doesnt show anything except a white background.
I cleared the browser cache, tried both Edge and Chrome but same error occurs. I looked in the log files and no error is logged there. Has anyone stumpled upon this error before and knows how to solve it? Version of CA is 11.0.7. The application worked great yesterday. I have attached a screenshot of the Pop-up message.

Hi,

As a sanity check, are you seeing normal behaviour when using Firefox or IE? Edge is based on Chrome, and a recent Chrome update caused a number of issues:

I'm guessing your browser might have updated itself overnight?

I might be totally wrong here, but it's worth checking this first. I think there are fixes for CA to resolve this.

Cheers!

Hey MFGF,

It does work when using Internet Explorer and yes Chrome is automatically updating to latest version. I did do some reading and there seems to be an issue with the latest Chrome version. I think there is an case/issue created at IBM regarding this.

Do you know if it is required to install a fix pack to solve this ? For some reason CA runs much faster in Chrome than IE, at least for me. So I really hope that chrome will work soon again.

Thank you for your reply mate !

Hi,

Yep, I'm pretty sure IBM has released fix packs for various versions to correct this.

I can confirm that the latest fix pack for 11.1.7 solved the issue.
